       Shawn's character "Thad" had some issues with the woman he dated. The environmental lawyer encouraged his girlfriends to let their natural beauty shine through by wearing no "chemically laced" make-up products.  When Thad's  ex girlfriends get together, they realize that shallow Thad has a pattern of eventually  dumping his "natural beauty" girlfriends and moving on to the next makeup enhanced lovely.
