Rosanna remembers a happier time when Mike made love to her. He is now being transferred to the state penitentiary. The weather is bad and the van Mike is riding in veers out of control. It crashes into another vehicle. Mike struggles to work his way free out of the police van. He checks on the guards transporting him. He hears the cry of a woman in pain coming from the other vehicle involved in the accident. Mike helps the woman. He recognizes her as Conner. He reassures her that he will help her and proceeds to stop the bleeding from her head injury. When Mike hears the police sirens, he waits until help has arrived for Conner, before disappearing into the woods. Rosanna continues to have flashbacks of Mike, remembering the conversion they had when she visited him in jail.
