"Only One Can Play" was a wonderfully written short film that had a very surprising ending. Shawn's acting versatility is tested in this role as his character, "Alex" gets systematically pushed into several emotional states as the story unfolds. Alex goes from a warm and loving husband into a man whose temper takes over when he tries to find answers as to why he is being targeted. The emotional suspense increases when he fears an intruder is near and takes yet another emotional turn in the end, when he is blindsided by the truth.
