          The "Ellen" show would mark Shawn's first appearance in a a situation comedy. Shawn would play the role of  Ellen's gay plumber, Danny.  Early in 2011, Shawn did an interview with  Soap Central Live. In that interview Shawn reflected with great respect the nurturing care Ellen provided hm in helping him through that first comedic role. Who better to learn from than the creative comedic genius of Ellen DeGeneres!
